Praia de Beo is situated in the municipality of Malpica de Bergantiños, marking the final beach before reaching the Santo Hadrián peninsula. Nestled between the tip of Pendurada to the north and the tip of Galina (or EntreTorres) to the south, it remains well-protected unless winds blow from the North-West. The late afternoon light here is enchanting, highlighting the yellow and ocher hues of the Pendurada cliff while the Entretorres cliff creates a striking silhouette.
The one-kilometer path that branches off to the right between Beo and Seiruga is breathtaking, featuring a series of deep coves and islets set against jagged cliffs. Praia de Beo is well-appointed, offering a water point for rinsing off and a picnic area equipped with self-service brick barbecues.
Access to the beach is via a one-way route, arriving from the north on a small country road that provides stunning rural views of Beo. While there isn't a formal parking lot, about twenty cars can comfortably park along the shoulder, though it might be a bit tight for a camper van. The exit route leads through the village of Beo to the south.
Our only regret is that our visit was too brief. Beo and its surrounding areas truly deserve a full day to explore and enjoy.
Beo
