This beach here is located right in small, but charming Barreiros. Lots of good food, friendly locals and wonderful landscapes around.
There are several stairs and accesses leading down to this beach. The sand is quite smooth and the whole beach is very clean. It is the north, so even in summer the climate is cool, the wind even cooler ....and so is the water.
But even if you won't go for a swim. The beach is a nice and peaceful place to hang out, it's never packed and the views are great. There's small island just about 50m outside. At low tide you can walk there....but if you stay too long you gotta swim back.
Great little town, nice beach.
Clean water and fine golden sand. Big beach. A rock around which there are many fish that can be seen calmly snorkeling.
It is a must on the Lugo coast.

A small, secluded and very welcoming beach. The crystal clear water is very calm, its temperature is always pleasant and it has waves that you really enjoy and it is not a dangerous beach. A few years ago they renovated it, it has a lifeguard and descent for Emergency services. It is a beautiful beach with fine sand where you can really enjoy and disconnect.

This beach near Malata offers a tranquil and picturesque experience, nestled at the foot of a forest in a beautiful natural setting. It is narrow and boasts stunning rock formations, making it an ideal spot for taking photos. wheelchair accessible and while there is limited parking, it is easy to access. The water is also warmer than on other open sea beaches. Boats can often be seen anchored nearby or crossing the estuary, adding to the atmosphere. In late July, a Viking party is held here that attracts a large amount of people. It is reminiscent of Alicante de Ferrol and is highly recommended for anyone looking for a day of relaxation, with the option of having a drink at the bar or dining in the shade of its vineyards, hiking through the Fragas del Eume or visiting the nearby fishing village of Pontedeume.

I have been visiting the beach for a long time and it is perfect for families with young children as it is not too crowded. We usually take our Yorkie with us and settle in the field. Today, however, a local authority came and told us that we could not stay here with the dog, due to the regulations in Bergondo. It was so frustrating as there was no warning or signs saying that we couldn't be there. The only sign was for the beach area. It seems that the police were aware of us being there, yet never said anything until now.
