This place is a great option if you're looking for a more local atmosphere than what's available near Vigo. The sand is lovely, and there's a mix of rocky and sandy areas on either side. I had the chance to go snorkeling here and the water was so clear I could spot every tiny fish. On a separate visit, the water wasn't quite as clear due to Mare de Fondo, which was affecting the whole region.
For drinks, you can either go to a small beach bar that only takes cash, or a larger restaurant with some amazing cocktails. Parking can be a bit of a headache if you don't arrive early, but there's plenty of space along the road past the beach, and the walk isn't too bad.

As a nudist who has been coming to Viño beach (Cangas) for years, I am deeply disappointed by what has been happening lately. This is one of the few beaches in the area where we can practice nudism safely, and yet it is increasingly invaded by people who, despite having dozens of textile beaches around them, decide to come here… but without respecting the naturist environment.
This isn't about prohibiting or excluding anyone, but rather about protecting what this cove is and has always been: a space of freedom, connection with nature, and respect for bodies without prejudice. Coming here fully clothed, with uncomfortable glances, or even taking photos only demonstrates a lack of empathy and common sense.
There are many other options nearby if you don't feel comfortable with nudism. It doesn't hurt to get information before coming. If we continue like this, we will end up losing this valuable spot for the nudist community.
Please: if you come to Viño, come with respect or find another beach. It's not too much to ask.

The golden sand beach in Cangas de Morrazo is situated in a picturesque fishing village on the Ría de Vigo which is part of the Rías Baixas in Galicia. Despite having all the services necessary to enjoy the sea, the beach is far from ideal. The promenade that runs along the beach to the port of Cangas is unappealing and the views of the Vigo estuary are far from magnificent. There is a bike path, however the beach is very quiet due to it not being high season. We visited at the end of May and found it to be far from the relaxing break we had hoped for. Galicia may be beautiful, but this beach is not.
