Playa Muchavista was far from perfect. The views were lackluster and uninspiring. The sand was coarse and uncomfortable. It was far from stunning.
One of my favourite beachfronts in al of Spain. The Playa Muchavista connects to the Playa San Juan and this long stretch of beach is very clean, very broad, and not very busy. Morning walks are the best as the sun comes up. The locals groom and clean the sand daily and the tiles boardwalk is palm tree lined and boasts several restaurants along the way for fine dining to fast food. As you can see by the photos I took and posted, its all yours to enjoy virtually alone in the mornings. On weekends its much busier but never feels crowded. Its a locals beach rather than a tourist beach so they have an interest in keeping it immaculate. Further up for this beach is a fishing port lined with very good restaurants but a different feel. If you walk the other way you will eventually come to the city of Alicante with its rich history, its port, and it castle Santa Barbara perched high atop the harbour.
