Nice beach, quieter than Ao Nang but not exactly a secret. Ten to fifteen minute walk along a boardwalk with some steep stairs to get here, or otherwise attached to a resort and used by their guests. On that note good on the resort for having a common sense policy for public access: sign in and out with a security guard stationed at the end of the trail, and the beach is open for your use (but not the pools, washrooms, etc, obviously). Some resorts resent public beach access laws, which hurts tourism as a whole. Can also walk onto the floating pier used by resort guests to get some great views.
Shade available until around 3-4pm. Gentle waves and a gradual drop off, ideal for swimming. Well worth the walk to escape the boats at Ao Nang.
