Some people have suggested that the municipality should take more responsibility for cleanliness, but instead of blaming the municipality, we should focus on those individuals who are not behaving responsibly. Cleaning up this mess won't happen overnight, but it can be addressed by implementing regular inspections and issuing fines. Every time I visit the beach, I make sure to hold those responsible accountable, and I hope they feel the weight of their actions and lose sleep over it.
