A decent place for families to visit. There are separate cycling tracks and walking paths, etc. Park your car opposite the beach road; otherwise, you will need to pay for parking.
Al heera beach is one of my favorite places in the respectful and safe emirate of Sharjah . I’ve Been going with my father since 2022 and now as I’ve grown I have been going by myself or with friends. It’s close to home which allows me to reach quickly. It is provided with private showers and changing rooms, and recently paid parking spots and versatile cuisine restaurants. But unfortunately at the moment, it’s not what it used to be. The harassments have become unbearable, especially in the evening time. And Although there’s a little corner on the shore that is designated for families, the minute the life guards end their duty, the harassments and followings begin. Some Men would sit very close to women without being invited and would stare in a very abnormal way for a long time which is enough to make any creature uncomfortable and even catcall and say inappropriate things. Add on that the showers that have been out of service for about a month now, replaced with 3 showers outside that offer no privacy to women visitors. this sudden change is very sad because this is the best spot for lot of residents who live close by. I do not wish that any woman would have to sacrifice safety, respect and convenience just to have some alone time at a public beach. I hope from the competent authorities to take appropriate measures to stop troublemakers before things get out of hand.
