Porthcurno Beach is truly world-class, even during the middle of winter. With its golden sand and turquoise waters reminiscent of the Maldives, it is absolutely breathtaking. The view from the cliffs as you make your way down to the beach is stunning, and once you reach the shore, you can simply sit back, relax, and watch your worries fade away. However, this beach also holds a hidden history as the location of a British submarine cable station. Nearby, you can visit the museum to learn more about this fascinating past.
Parking at Porthcurno Beach is convenient, as you can pay through an app or at the machine located at the top of the car park. Just enter your registration before leaving and pay for the time you've been parked - a system that should be adopted by all car parks. The only downside is that the beach is a bit of a walk from the car park, but it's not too far. There is also a beach cafe nearby, as well as the Minack Theatre where you must catch a show.
Overall, Porthcurno Beach is a must-visit destination, although it can get quite crowded in the summer due to the narrow road leading to it. Despite this, the beach is truly amazing and the water is indeed a beautiful turquoise color.
