The beach is absolutely stunning! It's about a 1.5-hour drive from Central Manchester, and we were thrilled to discover this hidden gem. Parking costs £8 for the entire day, but National Trust Members can park for free. The only restroom facilities are located by the car park and consist of portable toilets. The walking trail to the beach was lovely and took us approximately ten minutes. There was a raised boardwalk that led down to the beach. It was comforting to see lifeguards patrolling the beach. Fortunately, we visited during the last weekend of the summer holidays and were blessed with fantastic weather. I would recommend being prepared and bringing everything you need since there are no amenities available except for the toilets, which close at 4:30 pm. So make sure to pack a picnic, towel, sunshade, and plenty of drinks! This beach is naturally beautiful, with stunning sand dunes, and it's incredibly clean. I highly recommend it for a relaxing day by the beach. Thumbs up!
