Love this sandy beach but please be careful, the tide can come right up to the eroding dunes and frequently does. Access is down a soft steep sand 'ramp' which also erodes with the tide.
The village is what you would expect from a seaside holiday park. Lots of chalets, amusement arcades, shops with niknaks and buckets and spades. There is crazy golf and a small go-kart track and a "giant" slide and fast food with donuts and burgers and slushies etc.
Think back to 1980s beach entertainment and you won't be far wrong.
Lifeguards on the beach most days and Hemsby Lifeboat station at the top of the ramp
Watch out for strong currents if you are sea swimming rather than paddling.
The Richardson car park on the main street to the beach offers an hour's free parking and number plate recognition with a pay before you leave system that you need to know your number plate for! Down by the beach it is £2 per hour or £6 for the day.
No toilets open on the day we visited
