Beautiful clean, sandy beach, with parking along the harbour edge (50p per 1/2 hour) absolutely brilliant for swimming with concrete area for leaving towels. The harbour end is virtually all sand, whereas there's plenty of rock pools for exploring at the other end. There are beautiful bronze sculptures depicting the loss of fishermen's lives in a terrible storm, along the promenade, and, of course the harbour next to the beach housing it's own family of seals.
