This is a beach to put on your bucket list!
The drive along the single track road is long, very long (and fun in some places… think Top Gear roads)….. the scenery makes up for the long drive. There’s a couple of places to stop off along the way for photo opportunities, and it’s worth doing. Honestly!
There’s a car park at the end of the long winding road, which has a foot track town to the beach. It’s quite unsuitable for anyone with walking problems.
The beach is beautiful. Gorgeous sands and turquoise water.
Make sure you take food/drink for the day, as there’s not a lot around and you may end up quite hungry. You will pass some small village shops along the way but there’s nothing at the beach that we saw.
The sea was freezing (august) but we did get a bit of a swim.

Beautiful clear water, really gentle slope and secluded bay so perfect for kids. Loads of wildlife (crabs, hermit crabs, sole, squid, shrimp and grouper)
Camped overnight on the beach. Absolutely perfect setting although the sand fleas were an addition I would have preferred not to have to deal with but hey ho. Amazing sunset and believe it or not, it was still worth the 8 hour drive!!

We went in for lunch after visiting fairy pools with kids. The place was located at a beautiful spot. The views were breathtaking. Fish and chips were very yummy. The homemade bread was the best we had tasted in long time. The staff were very friendly.

A lovely, tranquil site situated on the banks of Loch Sunart and beneath Ben Resipole. We just returned from a long weekend and found it to be an excellent base for exploring the Ardnamurchan area. We had reserved an electric tent pitch, which was very spacious and not cramped at all. The toilet and shower facilities were exceptionally clean. The owners were wonderful, friendly, and helpful. There is a small shop on site, and some local amenities can be found in the nearby village of Salen, just a 5-minute drive away. We will definitely be returning!

The campsite was absolutely lovely. The amenities were fantastic and very clean, and the idea of having a code was brilliant. It was a bit pricier, but that's to be expected considering the current circumstances. I would say it was by far the best campsite we've been to on our trip. It even had a family/baby room with a small bathtub, which made it so much easier to wash my 9-month-old baby and my 6-year-old who dislikes showers and prefers baths. The toilets and showers were spotless. The owners were delightful and actually understood the realities of life, unlike many other places we've encountered on our trip. The beach was just a one-minute walk away, with no road to cross. It was a safe and beautiful place. I definitely recommend it and will be returning.

Amazing secluded beach. There is a small car park just down the road and a couple of lay-bys to park in. Also toilets about a 5-10 minute walk away.
Beautiful clear water, really gentle slope and secluded bay so perfect for kids. Loads of wildlife (crabs, hermit crabs, sole, squid, shrimp and grouper)
Camped overnight on the beach. Absolutely perfect setting although the sand fleas were an addition I would have preferred not to have to deal with but hey ho. Amazing sunset and believe it or not, it was still worth the 8 hour drive!!

The campsite was absolutely lovely. The amenities were fantastic and very clean, and the idea of having a code was brilliant. It was a bit pricier, but that's to be expected considering the current circumstances. I would say it was by far the best campsite we've been to on our trip. It even had a family/baby room with a small bathtub, which made it so much easier to wash my 9-month-old baby and my 6-year-old who dislikes showers and prefers baths. The toilets and showers were spotless. The owners were delightful and actually understood the realities of life, unlike many other places we've encountered on our trip. The beach was just a one-minute walk away, with no road to cross. It was a safe and beautiful place. I definitely recommend it and will be returning.
