What a fantastic beach. We have been to some very nice remote beaches in the UK and this is number one for us.
The beach is beautiful sand, there are rock pools for exploring, a beautiful backdrop and the water was lovely to swim in.
There is a very quickly changing landscape as the tide comes in and goes out very quickly.
There are some outcrops / islands to swim across and it is also safe to canyon from them into the pools behind.
We did wear wetsuits as did the kids. This was on a 20C day in August
There is parking for about 20 Cars we arrived at 9am and when we left in the afternoon there were too many cars for the car park, so arrive early.
The barnacles are sharp so would suggest neoprene shoes or similar when in the water if you do plan to climb the rocks.

Beautiful little village and beach. Very quiet. Great little gift shop - Blamire at Arisaig.
Beautiful unspoilt coastline to walk along this area around Arisaig Beach, or to take a canoe, kayak or paddleboard. The coast path leads above or amongst the bays covered in clean white sands.
There are a number of areas to park all along the shore around here. Beautiful scenery with views over to the Islands of Eigg, Muck, Rum and Skye in the distance.
Highly recommend Arisaig Beach to stop off at and stay and explore for the day.

Absolutely amazing, everything. The service is top notch and the people working there are the best, they really seem to enjoy being there. The view from the Inn is stunning and the food fantastic. There were some issues with the booking, probably due to my foreign credit card, but they helped me by doing it manually and letting me pay at the hotel. The pub, the people and Isle of Skye was the best of our whole Scotland trip. Always talk to locals, and preferably get drunk with them at The Old Inn late a Sunday evening.

I've been traveling to Mallaig for 30 years now. It's a bit more crowded these days, but this beach is still a slice of paradise, even in the winter. This photo was taken on a warm and calm Hogmanay in 2019.
My recent visit made me realize that I may need to find a new slice of paradise, as it now feels like 'Paved paradise and put up a parking lot' 😢 There are rows of campervans, lots of people, litter on the side of the road, and bike racks. It's kind of sad, to be honest. The beauty of this place was in its rural isolation, and that's gone now.

What a fantastic beach. We have been to some very nice remote beaches in the UK and this is number one for us.
The beach is beautiful sand, there are rock pools for exploring, a beautiful backdrop and the water was lovely to swim in.
There is a very quickly changing landscape as the tide comes in and goes out very quickly.
There are some outcrops / islands to swim across and it is also safe to canyon from them into the pools behind.
We did wear wetsuits as did the kids. This was on a 20C day in August
There is parking for about 20 Cars we arrived at 9am and when we left in the afternoon there were too many cars for the car park, so arrive early.
The barnacles are sharp so would suggest neoprene shoes or similar when in the water if you do plan to climb the rocks.

Definitely the best beach in Ardnamurchan.

I've been traveling to Mallaig for 30 years now. It's a bit more crowded these days, but this beach is still a slice of paradise, even in the winter. This photo was taken on a warm and calm Hogmanay in 2019.
My recent visit made me realize that I may need to find a new slice of paradise, as it now feels like 'Paved paradise and put up a parking lot' 😢 There are rows of campervans, lots of people, litter on the side of the road, and bike racks. It's kind of sad, to be honest. The beauty of this place was in its rural isolation, and that's gone now.

Beautiful little village and beach. Very quiet. Great little gift shop - Blamire at Arisaig.
Beautiful unspoilt coastline to walk along this area around Arisaig Beach, or to take a canoe, kayak or paddleboard. The coast path leads above or amongst the bays covered in clean white sands.
There are a number of areas to park all along the shore around here. Beautiful scenery with views over to the Islands of Eigg, Muck, Rum and Skye in the distance.
Highly recommend Arisaig Beach to stop off at and stay and explore for the day.
