This beach is a great spot to catch the annual Sand Castle competition at Pt Reyes National Seashore on the last Saturday of August, just before Labor Day weekend. There is a large parking lot nearby and a building with a small cafe/food store that offers hot beverages and snacks on select weekends. Be sure to check the Pt Reyes National Seashore website in the spring, as the beach may be closed to the public during seal pupping season.
The elephant seals are currently weaning their young on the beach (Jan 2023). You cannot access the beach but can see them from the parking lot!
