Love this spot. The beach is big and has little coves you can tuck into on a windy day. Most folks say it's not too crowded. If you are looking for something away from Santa Cruz hubbub, head ten mins north to this spot. Parking lot is across the road so you do have to dash across, then it's a little walk over the dune to the beach. There is a steep drop off after the visible shoreline and big tides. Keep that in mind if you are a novice water-goer and not familiar with rip tides. I've seen kite surfers here, there are pretty strong winds. As you face the water, the far left side by the cliff is used for nude sunbathing.
