The shop is quite decent, offering a variety of useful fishing and beach items. I had to purchase sunglasses due to the windy conditions on the beach, and they were reasonably priced. The view from the pier, especially during sunset, is absolutely breathtaking at the far end.
The first time here, even though the waters were rough, it was a nice outing to stay in the shore, swim, and sunbathing. In addition, there are a variety of gift shops and restaurants. Don't come on Mondays. Most of the eating places are close. We found an ice cream shop that was open. It was 1pm.
This boardwalk is about 3 miles long. It starts at 2nd Street and ends at 40th. Or about there. It has a walking area which most people use and a bike area for bikers. Throughout you can rent bikes if you want to ride. Most follow directions and stay in the bike lanes. If you are looking to do a boardwalk and shopping at the same time then you will need to do it by walking across the other street because the boardwalk has little to no shopping options. All the shops are a few streets across. Enjoy 😍😊 the sun.

Nice place to walk and fish. Only two bucks to walk out onto the pier. Can get really crowded in the afternoons. They have a gift shop and bait shop as well. Nets and water are provided on the pier.
My family and I enjoy making the 60-minute drive from Chester to spend the day at this small white sand beach. It's peaceful and the water is calm. There are small shops and a few restaurants within walking distance. They have a bike repair station and a water fountain with bowls for pets. The bathrooms near the beach are always clean, which is a bonus for us. They also have outdoor concerts on Thursdays and a market on Saturday mornings. Yorktown beach is a great spot to relax without the crowds of a typical beach. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful beach day.
We had a fantastic time at the beach. The parking, facilities, and beach access are conveniently located near shops, restaurants, festival grounds, restrooms, showers, and a small boardwalk.
