The French Broad river spans 218 miles from Rosman, North Carolina through Asheville, and toward the state of Tennessee. Section 9 of the French Broad river starts approximately 45 minutes away from Asheville near Marshall, North Carolina and runs through the Pisgah National Forest. The majority of French Broad Section 9 flows through protected lands, and is beginner-friendly. Your guide will navigate you through approximately 5 miles of Section 9, where you will raft through class II and class III difficulty levels, and you may briefly encounter class IV drops depending on the time of year, and the amount of rainfall. Section 9 of the French Broad river starts approximately 45 minutes away from Asheville near Marshall, North Carolina and runs through the Pisgah National Forest. The majority of French Broad Section 9 flows through protected lands, and is beginner-friendly. The French Broad river spans 218 miles from Rosman, North Carolina through Asheville, and toward the state of Tennessee. Section 9 of the French Broad river starts approximately 45 minutes away from Asheville near Marshall, North Carolina and runs through the Pisgah National Forest. The majority of French Broad Section 9 flows through protected lands, and is beginner-friendly. The excursion will take you through beautiful mountain scenery on the way to visit three impressive waterfalls and two protected forests as well as a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (weather permitting) to discover the amazing views surrounding this iconic road that connects two National Parks. We provide comfortable seating in a climate controlled van. Drinks/snacks are included. IMPORTANT Guest should be prepared for walking approximately 3 miles on the hiking portion of this tour over a period of 2 hours, including stops at the falls and you should feel comfortable walking this distance before making a booking. The tour is not suitable for children under 12. We will return to Asheville by approximately 1:30 p.m.
