Immerse yourself in waterfall hiking in one of the most unique geologic formations in Oregon! Over the course of the three hours we are in the canyon, we will discovering South Falls' stunning amphitheater and history as the centerpiece of a failed attempt to become Oregon's first National Park. From here we will descend into the up-and-down trails that make up the gorgeous canyon, encountering century-plus-old trees, wildflowers in season, mosses, lichens, and mushrooms and a variety of fantastic rock formations. We will experience up-close encounters with some of the state's most unusual and impressive waterfall formations. On this hiking experience we will explore 4-6 waterfalls and enjoy snacks with the option to purchase a light breakfast or lunch from the cafe. Our hike will be between three and eight miles (5 - 13 km) depending on group energy and desire.

Note: Sunrise is too early in the summer to ride during the tram’s open hours! We will be riding after sunrise April - August. The early tour guest gets the spectacular views. As you continue east, the wet forests of the coastal Pacific Northwest give way to Garry Oak, Ponderosa Pines, and other more arid vegetation, creating prime conditions for grapes. Spend the rest of the day exploring the fertile basin around Hood River, where you’ll taste boutique wines found only in Oregon. Immerse yourself in waterfall hiking in one of the most unique geologic formations in Oregon! Over the course of the three hours we are in the canyon, we will discovering South Falls' stunning amphitheater and history as the centerpiece of a failed attempt to become Oregon's first National Park. From here we will descend into the up-and-down trails that make up the gorgeous canyon, encountering century-plus-old trees, wildflowers in season, mosses, lichens, and mushrooms and a variety of fantastic rock formations. We will experience up-close encounters with some of the state's most unusual and impressive waterfall formations. On this hiking experience we will explore 4-6 waterfalls and enjoy snacks with the option to purchase a light breakfast or lunch from the cafe. Our hike will be between three and eight miles (5 - 13 km) depending on group energy and desire.

Note: Sunrise is too early in the summer to ride during the tram’s open hours! We will be riding after sunrise April - August. The early tour guest gets the spectacular views. We’ll meet you on the edge of downtown Portland, where you will have a chance to pick up coffee (or tea). We will head over to OHSU, where we will walk with you to the Aerial Tram. We’ll ride up this feat of Swiss engineering up to the top as the early sun reveals the city’s glowing colors. Once there, depending on sunrise timing and weather, we'll watch the sun crest the horizon, or check out city views in the early morning light. After we ride back to the bottom, we'll tell you the story of the bridge and its quixotic lights, and orient you to the city whose east-west divider lies before us. The Aerial Tram was built in 2006 to connect the main campus of Oregon Health Sciences University with the new neighborhood of the South Waterfront. We will be joining students and medical staff on their daily tram ride!

Our half day self guided E-bike tour provides you with a 3.5 hour rental to enjoy the scenic waterfall corridor including Multnomah Falls. This is our most popular option because it allows you to experience the highlights of the route at a nice pace. You will have time to see 5 waterfalls and do several short hikes. You can spend some quality time at Multnomah Falls and enjoy a snack at the Historic Multnomah Falls Lodge. Ebikes are for riders aged 16+ per Oregon state law.
