Situated just north of the Copalis River's mouth, near the Copalis Beach Airport, this spot is quite unique. The airport itself is minimal, featuring only a sign, a windsock, and a beach runway that appears at low tide. It's one of the rare locations in the US where small aircraft can legally land and take off from the beach. Copalis Rock stands out as the sole offshore rock or stack between Pt. Grenville, WA, and Cannon Beach, OR, which is 85 miles to the south. The 2-mile journey from the Roosevelt beach access road is definitely worthwhile.
