If you're seeking a great spot to swim, stroll, or simply enjoy the beauty of Lake Michigan, this is the place to be! There are restrooms and a rinse station available for when you're done with the sand. Plus, there are plenty of photo opportunities with the Lighthouse at the point.
We had an amazing time swimming and playing in the waves here. The water was cool, but not as cold as it is up north by the Mackinac Bridge. The sandy bottom extends far into the water, so there are minimal rocks. We managed to go barefoot and ventured quite far out.

My family and I visited at the end of July 2023 on a Thursday. We didn't have to pay any fees, and there was plenty of parking available. The beach had a good number of porta potties and was very clean. The water was clear and stayed shallow for a long distance, making it perfect for my kids. I noticed volleyball nets set up and only saw a few "inappropriate" bathing suits. Overall, I think it's a great family beach. We grilled nearby where there were wooden picnic tables. I would recommend checking the water quality online before you go, as they test it on weekdays at 10am. This area is considered the "south" beach.

The ambiance was incredibly serene, making it the perfect spot for a walk along the shore. The highlight for me was the playground located right on the beach – it was simply awesome!
One thing to note is that the beach seems to be exclusive to residents, which can be seen as a downside for non-residents. However, I can understand why it's a major upside for residents, as having a private beach would be an incredible selling point. The exclusivity certainly adds to the overall sense of privacy.

My family and I visited at the end of July 2023 on a Thursday. We didn't have to pay any fees, and there was plenty of parking available. The beach had a good number of porta potties and was very clean. The water was clear and stayed shallow for a long distance, making it perfect for my kids. I noticed volleyball nets set up and only saw a few "inappropriate" bathing suits. Overall, I think it's a great family beach. We grilled nearby where there were wooden picnic tables. I would recommend checking the water quality online before you go, as they test it on weekdays at 10am. This area is considered the "south" beach.

The ambiance was incredibly serene, making it the perfect spot for a walk along the shore. The highlight for me was the playground located right on the beach – it was simply awesome!
One thing to note is that the beach seems to be exclusive to residents, which can be seen as a downside for non-residents. However, I can understand why it's a major upside for residents, as having a private beach would be an incredible selling point. The exclusivity certainly adds to the overall sense of privacy.

If you're seeking a great spot to swim, stroll, or simply enjoy the beauty of Lake Michigan, this is the place to be! There are restrooms and a rinse station available for when you're done with the sand. Plus, there are plenty of photo opportunities with the Lighthouse at the point.
We had an amazing time swimming and playing in the waves here. The water was cool, but not as cold as it is up north by the Mackinac Bridge. The sandy bottom extends far into the water, so there are minimal rocks. We managed to go barefoot and ventured quite far out.
