Playa de Luquillo is located on the Atlantic ocean and it is in the 38th place out of 224 beaches in the Puerto Rico region 41.9 km away from its center, the city of San Juan. It is one of the beaches of Luquillo settlement, just 1.7 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, pet owners etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

"The beach is absolutely stunning! The parking area is convenient and well-maintained. Make sure to try the Cod fritters and Pina Colada, they're both delicious! The pineapple is especially noteworthy. There are plenty of fish in the water and I was able to collect a few shells. It wasn't too crowded before noon, which was a bonus."

"After our midday meal, we strolled along the adjacent promenade to reach this beach. The sand was exceptionally fine, lending a luxurious feel to the experience. However, the lack of public amenities was a letdown. To compensate, we brought along a generous supply of three gallons of fresh water to rinse off the children after their frolic in the sea."
