The beach is conveniently located near the parking area, unlike other small public beaches along the Fresh Coast of west Michigan. The steep sandy slopes on the way down to the beach, and especially on the way back up to the parking lot, can be quite challenging for those who are not regularly active. Climbing back up after a full day of activities can even be considered a health screening, comparable to or even better than a typical procto exam for individuals at the age of 40. However, the effort is definitely worth it! Perhaps the main purpose of this dune climb has always been to protect this small local gem from becoming overcrowded.

There is parking available on the street. The beach is not very large, but it is sufficient for a pleasant swim. It is not a long walk to reach the beach, although there is some uphill terrain to navigate. Around 250 stairs need to be climbed. There are no restrooms or places to change, so it's important to come prepared. It could be a good spot to roll a watermelon down a hill.

During tulip time, we paid a visit to this location, but to our surprise, there wasn't a single person in sight. Nonetheless, it was an incredibly serene and picturesque spot to witness the sunset, although it was unfortunately obscured by clouds during our visit. To reach the beach, a short half-mile hike is required, which can be a bit steep. It's advisable to wear suitable footwear as sand may find its way inside. There is only one restroom available, and although we didn't use it, it appeared somewhat unclean from the outside. Additionally, there is an entry fee for accessing this area, but they do provide parking facilities.

The view was amazing. It was slightly cooler than I expected, but the sun more than made up for it. There is a sand dune preservation area in effect, and visitors are kindly requested to stick to the designated beach trails.

The beach is located in a charming little village, where most of the homes are privately owned and there are signs indicating exclusive access. We spent some time there, enjoying a delicious pizza and witnessing a breathtakingly vibrant sunset. The area is quite compact, so if you're just passing through, what you see is pretty much the entirety of it.
