The beach is pleasant, with a sandy shoreline devoid of any seaweed or debris. It offers a stunning view and ample space. During my visit, there were only a few people around, making it quite uncrowded. However, I was surprised to find that it was a bit farther from the expressway than I had initially anticipated while crossing the bridge. Unfortunately, I unintentionally overlooked a No Dogs Allowed sign near the beach entrance, but noticed it on my way out. In general, it is a lovely beach, but it's advisable to leave your dogs at home.
This beach on Lake Michigan is fantastic. There are no unnecessary rules to follow, so you can simply choose a spot and have a wonderful day. The bay offers perfect conditions for kayaking or paddleboarding. I was hesitant to write this review, as I wanted to keep this gem to ourselves, but I couldn't resist sharing the love. Have a great time!
There was a good amount of space available, making it a fantastic spot to enjoy the sunset.
The beach is lovely with a sandy shoreline and convenient free parking nearby. The water remains shallow for a considerable distance from the shore, making it ideal for children to enjoy (as shown in the picture of kids standing in water at a distance of 4 feet). However, the only drawback is the bathroom situation, as there are two pit toilets that emit an extremely unpleasant odor, even from the outside. Thankfully, the breeze carries away any foul smells from the beach.
Wilderness park beach one is a smaller beach that offers basic restroom facilities. The sand is pleasant, and the beach maintains its natural and untamed beauty with scattered vegetation along the shoreline. It provides a peaceful atmosphere, allowing visitors to enjoy a stunning view. Some areas of the beach have clearly marked poison ivy, so caution is advised. Swimming is at your own risk in this location. If you are in search of a secluded and rustic beach experience, this is the perfect destination to explore.
