This charming beach is a true gem, boasting a delightful mix of soft sand and just enough pebbles to add texture without being overwhelming. The water is absolutely pristine, creating an idyllic setting for a refreshing swim. While there are no additional facilities beyond a convenient shower, this is actually a blessing in disguise, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area without any distractions. Plus, the fact that there is no entry fee is simply icing on the cake - it's hard to believe that such a stunning location can be enjoyed completely free of charge. If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Athens for a day, this beach is an absolute must-visit, easily accessible via the tram.

This charming little beach has a mix of sand and pebbles, perfect for a relaxing day by the water. While swimming, we noticed some small fish playfully nibbling at us, which gave us a tingling sensation akin to a gentle electric shock. Although it may seem eerie, there was no pain or harm caused. The water is crystal clear, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling or simply taking a refreshing dip.

This beach near Athens is my absolute favorite. It's clean, perfect for children as it's not too deep, and the sand is lovely. Plus, there are plenty of options for snacks, coffee, and food nearby.

What a stunning day we had at Vouliagmenis beach! Sure, it's a bit of a trek from the cruise port, but trust me, it's worth it. We hopped on the City Sight Seeing Tour that conveniently picks you up right next to the terminal, and after a short 2-minute walk, we were on the Pireus-Athens line. As we strolled towards the A2 interchange for the Beach and Riviera Line, we couldn't help but admire the Acropolis. After a 30-40 minute drive, we arrived at the beach entrance, which was a mere 50 meters away from the Oceanis Restaurant. However, be warned, it's not a public beach, and you'll need to cough up €10 per adult and €5 per kid over 5 years old to gain access. But, once you're in, you'll find a public section with free blue chairs and umbrellas, and a private, serviced section with black sun chairs near the snack shop. The private section will set you back €65 for a set of two chairs, an umbrella, a little table, and a security box. But, don't worry, they'll give you a credit for the entrance tickets (maximum of four: two adults, two kids), so it's only an extra €35 in the end. The snack bar offers reasonably priced paninis, boxed salads, and bagged chips, so you won't go hungry. We had a great day, but I must confess, it was a Monday, so I can only imagine how busy it gets as the week goes on, especially on the weekend. Who knew paying for a beach visit could be so enjoyable?

The coastline is adorned with pebbles, yet it is not an exception in the vicinity. This particular beach is of moderate size and offers complimentary thatched parasols, similar to its adjacent counterparts.
