Crocodile beach

This charming beach is a hidden gem, but there are a few things to keep in mind. It's not officially open to the public, so parking and amenities are not available. However, the seclusion is a definite advantage. Be sure to wear water shoes instead of sandals or flip flops due to the abundance of rocks and pebbles. Swimming is at your own risk, as the reef is rocky and home to many sea urchins, which can be unpleasant to step on or touch.

This serene beach boasts soft sand and a tranquil atmosphere, with gentle waters that are perfect for wading. The picturesque scenery is truly breathtaking, though the water may not be crystal clear. While snorkelers may not find this spot ideal, there are still opportunities to observe some of the local aquatic life.

Fanari beach

The temperature was pleasant, around 24°C, and the water was comfortably warm. The beach had a sufficient amount of sand, making it enjoyable for our family to spend time in the water. The depth of the water was ideal, ranging from 2 to 4 feet for a considerable distance. Although there was limited shade available, we were able to find a parasol in town and brought it along. The beach was great for snorkeling, and there was no need for rock climbing to access it.

Visited the beach for a coffee and was thoroughly impressed by the breathtaking views. While there, we also indulged in some delicious honey made right on the premises. The staff were exceptional and made our experience even more enjoyable. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Vatsa Bay is a charming and secluded spot, offering a sandy beach with crystal clear and shallow water that faces the open sea. It is a hidden gem on the island, not widely recognized or frequented by tourists, making it a perfect destination for a peaceful and rejuvenating day. The Spiaggia Vatsa tavern is an excellent choice for enjoying local cuisine and drinks while taking in the relaxing atmosphere. We felt a deep connection to this place, prompting us to return for another day during our vacation in Kefalonia. It is worth mentioning that this is the very spot where the renowned Serbian painter and writer, Momo Kapor, used to spend his summer holidays.
