Chankanaab Beach

We had a pleasant time at the beach, enjoying snorkeling and the excellent service. The fish and shrimp tacos were delicious. However, it is important to note that bringing cash is advisable. Our food and drink bill, which was initially $85 in US dollars, ended up being $155 when charged to my credit card. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about it as I had signed for the transaction in pesos. If you plan on using a card, make sure to check the exchange rate beforehand to avoid any surprises. It turned out to be a rather costly day, which was unexpected considering how positively I felt about it initially.

Playa Uvas II

This resort is perfect for a tranquil vacation, offering a cozy and private atmosphere. It's not all inclusive, which I personally appreciate if you're not into drinking. The resort is well-maintained and pleasant, with excellent housekeeping. The location is fantastic, with a beautiful and extensive shoreline for snorkeling.

Casa Maya Kaan

This summer rental was absolutely incredible. The house is stunningly beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful too. The service was absolutely top-notch. It doesn't get any better than this beachside gem.

Akumal bay beach

This resort is a must-visit! It was so difficult to leave because the service and facilities were absolutely perfect. And trust me, I'm not easily satisfied. There was always someone available to assist you, from helping with your car to welcoming you with a refreshing drink and taking care of your belongings. This level of support was consistent throughout my stay. The food and drinks were incredible, and the spa was a true treat.

Isla de Pasion

The beach is really nice with crystal-clear waters and stunning beaches that are perfect for shell and coral hunting. As soon as we got off the boat, we spotted some needle fish swimming right by the dock. The food and drinks were amazing too! The only downside is that some parts of the beach have a lot of sand fleas and no seeums, which can be quite bothersome and may prevent it from getting a perfect rating.

Playa Caracol

The beach is rather petite and seems to be bustling with individuals from the surrounding hotels. Certain areas of the beach appear to be restricted as private property. Despite these minor setbacks, the beach is quite delightful for a refreshing swim and to indulge in some fun activities. The beach is maintained quite well and is relatively clean.

Please note that lifeguards supervise 69 beaches in the state, but you should rely on more than just them, remember the elementary rules, as lifeguards are not on duty around the clock, even on equipped beaches!

Finding hotels in relative proximity to the beaches is usually fine. Many beaches have enough nearby accommodation, which gives good opportunities to choose the right place to stay.
