We suggest visiting the flamingos, but advise against staying at the Villa Pescadores hotel in Rio Lagartos.

What an amazing place to stay! We absolutely adored it! The condo was absolutely perfect. The staff was absolutely fantastic. We were conveniently located near restaurants and a small store. The only downside I can think of was the rocky entrance to the ocean. We would absolutely love to return.

Playa Mirador

The sand on the beach was a delightful contrast to the cool breeze that swept over the shore. It was a warm and soft blanket that invited visitors to bask in the sun and take in the stunning views of the sea.

Visiting the beach at midnight, right after the town's electricity is shut off, and experiencing the darkness while listening to the waves and gazing at the starry sky is truly a luxurious experience. During the day, we took a walk to assess the condition of the beach. While we noticed some broken boards, they are not a threat to your safety as long as you are cautious about where you step.

Playa Las Coloradas

This place is absolutely real! It's called the Sol salt plant. The water has a beautiful pink hue, although swimming in it is not allowed. Despite being quite far from our intended route, I must say it was definitely worth the detour. On our way back, we made a quick stop at the public beach nearby. Just a heads up, when you leave, expect to be covered in salt and sand. It's a fantastic spot for taking pictures!
