We have found a hidden gem on the Big Island - a beach that has become one of our favorites. However, reaching this beach can be quite challenging as it requires a 4-wheel drive or a tour that allows you to stay a bit longer before ascending the steep mountain. But once you get there, you will be rewarded with stunning black sands and the refreshing fresh water river that merges with the ocean. Keep an eye out for wild horses that often roam the area, adding to the natural beauty of this secluded spot.

The warmest month during the year in this area is September, with the air temperature rising up to 27.3°C and the water temperature up to 27.6°C. The coldest month is February, with the air temperature dropping down to 24.5°C and the water temperature down to 24.8°C.
