This is the BEST way to make the most of your time on the Aran Islands and visit the Cliffs of Moher! Inisheer is the smallest of the 3 Aran Islands. It’s located just 20 minutes off the coast of Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher. We pick you in Galway, bring you to Doolin and once we arrive at the island, we get our bikes and head out for a 2-hour bike tour of the island. If you are not up for cycling, we can organize a tractor-drawn carriage tour for you at no extra charge. After the tour, we will have home-baked scones and tea while hearing stories from a local islander! Once back to the mainland, you will have the opportunity to explore Doolin and grabbing some lunch!
My name is Gerry Grealish, I am a local Nationally qualified guide and owner of Tour & Taste Galway. I have grown up here and love Galway and the west of Ireland. I will take you on a tour through the medieval city of Galway and explore its history and culture using food and drink as a way of telling its story. I will take you to some of my favourite places. The tour starts near the historic Spanish Arch with the local guide taking you through the streets of this bustling University city. The tour lasts 3.5 hours approx. with a maximum of 12 people on tour, visiting different venues finishing with a visit to a traditional pub. Private tours are also available.

Walk to the highest point of the Cliffs of Moher standing 214m (702 feet) above sea level, where views of the Dingle Peninsula and Loop Head in the South, the Aran Islands to the West with the Twelve Pins and mountains of Connemara to the North can be seen on a clear day. From O’ Brien’s Tower witness the amazing vistas of lush green grass, rocky cliffs and varying shades of sea and sky and hear the waves of the mighty Atlantic ocean crashing below. The walk takes approximately 3.5 hours along a gravel path and finishes at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre where a taxi ride back after the walk to Doolin village is included The trail is an easy walk, it requires a basic level of fitness and a good head for heights and is 8km long.

This is easily the BEST way to experience the Cliffs of Moher from Galway. Meeting in Galway, a small group of no more than 8 will make their way via our private transportation to the village of Doolin. From there you will walk with our local guide to the Cliffs of Moher. This route is breathtaking and brought to life with the help of your captivating guide. The guide will tell you the untold stories about the cliffs while taking you to the most picturesque spots along the way. The hike ends at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Center however, we organize a taxi for everyone back to Doolin for some free time. The taxi costs €20 minimum or €5pp if there are 4 or more people on the tour. You can pay this directly to the taxi man on the day. At approximately 3:30 pm, you will be driven back to Galway in our private transportation. You will arrive back in Galway at approximately 5pm.
