Isola di Petit Saint Vincent: 1 spiaggia nella zona

If you find yourself at this disappointing location thinking you can grab a drink at the bar and dip your toes in the water, think again. Despite the large sign at the entrance welcoming you to enjoy the beach and use the bar, the security guard will stop you and demand $100 USD to step onto that government-owned beach. If you refuse, you will be harassed by a security guard named Olvon, who will intimidate you until you either leave or pay. After speaking with others, we have even heard of physical altercations with the guards for simply sitting on the beach. I recommend heading around the corner to a little place called Tenuta in Chatham Bay. The staff there are very nice, the view is better, there are no security guards to harass you, and it doesn’t cost you $100 just to go to a bar and buy more drinks.

In un viaggio in barca a vela, ho provato a prendere un drink al bar della spiaggia. Camminando sull'isola, c'è un cartello che dice che è un'isola privata, ma sei libero di visitare il ristorante, il bar e la boutique, ma non andare oltre i cartelli che indicano "solo per gli ospiti dell'hotel". Siamo arrivati al bar e ci hanno detto che avremmo dovuto pagare 100 USD per "avere accesso" e bere un drink. Ovviamente abbiamo rifiutato. Il barista ci ha detto che potevamo arrivare in gommone e camminare lungo la spiaggia (che a 20 metri dalla linea di alta marea è pubblica). La guardia di sicurezza Olvon è venuta a dirci che non possiamo camminare sulla spiaggia senza pagare i 100 USD, il che non è la legge. Questo posto è una TRUFFA TOTALE. NON ANDATE.
