Isola di Koh Bon: 2 spiagge nella zona

Eravamo inizialmente impressionati dalle recensioni più datate, ma purtroppo, nel 2022, la vita marina attorno a questa piccola isola è peggiorata. Invece, considera di visitare Coral Island, dove puoi goderti una spiaggia più bella e una vita marina più interessante a circa 150 metri dalla riva.

My friend and I hired a long-tailed boat from Rawai Beach to Koh Bon (Bon Island) for 9am, costing us 1200 baht for a round trip back at 3pm. The ride was short, only about 10 minutes, but the scenery was stunning. When we arrived, we were the only tourists on the island, giving us a Robinson Crusoe and Man Friday vibe, feeling isolated in a good way. We spent the first few hours exploring the beach, searching for crabs in the rock pools, and taking in the beautiful views. More tourists started arriving after 10am, and by 11:30, we decided to have lunch at the Bon Island Restaurant. The restaurant was a simple wooden shack with plastic chairs, nothing fancy. The prices were slightly higher than other good restaurants in Rawai Beach, but we chose the Jack fish, freshly caught the night before, and ordered som tum to go with it. The fish was fried to perfection, with a delicious balance of saltiness and sweetness. The som tum paired nicely with the fish. We paid 820 baht for the two dishes and a couple of small Leo beers, which we found to be great value considering the location. After lunch, we relaxed on beach chairs for an hour (100 baht rental each) before spending the rest of our time swimming. Bon Island and the restaurant provided a relaxing and enjoyable day trip, and we highly recommend it.

Insalate buone, il resto del cibo era passabile, ma ovviamente non aspettarsi un posto a stelle Michelin qui. Un po' costoso, ma non c'è concorrenza sull'isola. Il servizio è molto gentile. Molto traffico di barche, i marinai locali si fermano per una birra nel pomeriggio. Spiaggia piccola, non la migliore per nuotare, a causa del costante traffico di barche.
