Varu-eiland is absoluut adembenemend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, rating it a solid 4/5. It could have been a 4.5/5 if not for the disappointing bar experience.
Our rooms were outstanding. We stayed in the over-water villa, which was perfectly situated. Bilal, our housekeeper, was exceptional, servicing the room twice daily and always doing a fantastic job.
The spa treatment was incredibly relaxing. Yulia, my masseuse, was highly skilled and professional.
Dining:
Nu:
Overall, it was good. We rate the food 3.5/5 due to a lack of flavors, finding it a bit bland. However, the service was impeccable, earning a 5/5.
Chili and Lime:
Overall, it was good. We rate the food 4/5. We experienced both the Asian night and the global night, with an excellent selection of food options to please every palate. Service was rated 4/5 due to occasional language difficulties. The live entertainment on Friday night was a nice touch.
Bay Rouge:
We rate it 2.5/5. The drinks were very weak, even when requesting a double shot. Service was slow or nonexistent, often requiring us to go to the bar ourselves. Adding lively music throughout the day or a live band at night could improve the atmosphere. It lacked the beach ambiance it has the potential for.
Charcoal:
We rate it 4/5. The appetizer was just alright, with a bland salad. However, the main course of ribs was very good, and the dessert was delicious—the best crème brûlée I’ve had, with the chef nailing the caramel top. Service was excellent, with our server being knowledgeable about the food and offering another appetizer to make up for the bland salad.
Other activities we did:
Sunset cruise: It was nice, although the sunset itself was not great. The staff onboard went out of their way to make up for the lack of a good sunset, and they were amazing.
Snorkeling: This was a fun experience. We saw sharks, turtles, and more. It was amazing swimming near the reefs.
Stargazing: This was boring and uncomfortable. Sitting on the rock-hard boat top was not pleasant. Beanbags, like those used during the sunset cruise, would have been nice. The captain didn’t even pick a good spot to stop.
Getting around the resort: It would be nice if they had shuttles transporting guests throughout the day
