The day’s itinerary is completely flexible, as it is your day not ours! We embark on a comfortable picturesque journey through the Hills or along the coast. We start the day at Olivers Taranga vineyards where we get to taste wines in the beautiful cellar door next to the vines that the fruit is sourced from. Our 2nd visit is to the Iconic d’Arenberg Cube described as a winery built within a Rubik’s Cube Once we have finished exploring the five levels of the Cube, we sit down for a delicious 2-course lunch at the award winning d’Arry’s Verandah restaurant where our guests select their own dishes from the seasonal à la carte menu. After lunch we finish the day at Hugo* wines and sample an excellent range of their small batch varietals, at one of the prettiest Cellar Doors and surroundings in the region. *We can offer an excellent alternate winery if your private group prefers a range of alternate Italian varieties to include Whites, Rose and Reds. This room is on the bottom level of the original winery, and maintains a constant temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, so make sure to bring a jacket in the colder months. Your host will then guide you through the wine tasting process and describe what role each of the senses play during the process. With the lights turned down, blindfolds on, and sipping from black wine glasses, you will discover what happens when you remove the sense of sight, and understand how it influences your wine tasting experience. This tasting is about enhancing your wine knowledge and gaining a deeper understanding of your palate.

2 Hour Swim nearby Dolphin / Seal & Coastal Snorkeling Safari departs from Christmas Cove Marina, Penneshaw. Have the opportunity to swim nearby wild dolphins or seals and snorkel some of KI’s beautiful coastline.  It's a great wildlife watching tour! We provide wetsuits, mask, towels, snorkel, and fins. Arrive at Christmas Cove Marina in Penneshaw 30 minutes prior to departure. You will be fitted into the appropriately sized wetsuit, mask, snorkel, and flippers as well as be provided with a safety brief. Then jump on board our 28 seater vessel in search of the marine life that inhabits the stunning coastline. Seals often become very active which provides a unique snorkeling experience. We are the only operator in South Australia that provides the opportunity to swim nearby the Long-Nosed Seals. Also, have the opportunity to swim alongside dolphins in the wild. The guide will also provide an informative commentary along the way.

While you sit back & relax, a veteran oyster farmer, will share with you the history of oyster farming including an update on the Angasi Reef Restoration Project in Coffin Bay. A project aims to rebuild angasi oyster reefs, using pacific oyster shells. Every shell from, every oyster you consume on the tour will be donated to the restoration efforts & will contribute to bringing these reefs back to life...!
