The beach is fantastic and there is a beautiful hike to the nearby mountain, Mannen, where you can enjoy even more stunning views.
The beach was voted the most beautiful in Norway, but I'm not entirely convinced. The scenery was still great though. Speaking of which, Norwegians are not shy at all - we even saw a naked man walking back to the beach from the restrooms, trying to cover himself up.
This beach is definitely worth checking out, with its stunning scenery whether it's sunny or cloudy. There's also a cute and cozy coffee shop, surf "club," and clean public toilets available for a small fee of 20 NOK, which can be paid by card.
The views are stunning! It's a perfect spot to watch the midnight sun or relax by a campfire surrounded by the beauty of Norwegian nature. I'm deducting a star due to the high cost of using the toilets - they charge 20 NOK each time, which adds up for campers who need to use them multiple times. However, make no mistake, this beach is truly one of the most breathtaking I've ever seen.
The beach is absolutely stunning, I visited in early June of 2023 and the weather was perfect. The campsite is lovely, not too crowded, and we had no trouble finding a spot to pitch our tent. There were also some nice areas to sit and cook food. However, I have to deduct some points because the toilets charge 20 kroner each time you use them, and only accept contactless card payments. If you only have cash, you're out of luck (I had to borrow a friend's card). This seems like a steep price, especially for campers who need to use the facilities multiple times. I'm used to paying at most 50 pence or a pound for toilets, or even having them be free. It would be helpful if they mentioned this on their website so visitors are aware in advance. Perhaps they could consider giving a code after the initial payment for multiple uses. Despite this issue, I still recommend visiting the beach, just keep this in mind.
