The beach has potential, but there are several aspects that detract from the experience. A significant portion of the shaded area is taken up by sunbeds, leaving limited space for other visitors. While there are a few hawkers around, we noticed some of them interacting with stray dogs, which for us is a big hygiene concern. Additionally, stray dogs tend to approach you if you're eating snacks, which can be unsettling for some people. Behind the beach, there is quite a bit of trash, which mars the overall ambiance. Lastly, the access road to the beach is quite bumpy, making the journey less comfortable. We only spent 2 hours here and would not recommend.

Upon our arrival, we were taken aback by the impressive number of tourists compared to Koh Libong. We went from 1 tourist per square kilometer to at least 10, which for us is colossal! And there our bungalow awaits us: we transition from lavish comfort to something much more Spartan. A concrete mattress atop concrete and a corner with a pipe for a shower. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating just a tad, but you get the idea. Surprisingly, we ended up loving this place—alone, facing the sea with the jungle behind us. Nothing but nature. We extended our stay there too! We were right across from Koh Kradan. Every day, a few grand sailboats teased me with their lofty sails. Armed with my binoculars, I drift back into my dreams of being a captain, navigating the crystalline waters of Southeast Asia with my beloved by my side. I was glued to that vision for a few days before coming back down to earth and realizing I still didn't have any ship’s wheel in my hands. As we walk towards the only restaurant in the area, we notice that further down the beach, the tourists we had seeing upon our arrival are all clustered at the other end, like “sardines”. We jokingly told them not to move from there, at least until we leave the island. I was surprised to see that they all listened to us so well! I forgot to mention that Koh Muk is known for his Emerald Cave. Every day, boats from neighboring islands take tourists there. The advantage of being on-site is being able to kayak there early in the morning and avoid the crowds. We didn't go, too busy enjoying our unique view, protected from the “sardines”, quite literally. We also forgot to visit the dugong next to the pier. In fact, I think we forgot a lot of things, except for taking a good time.
