The track down to the beach was manageable and navigable (April 2023), although there are piles of damaged rolled-up conveyor belts scattered around, likely left by typical 4x4 enthusiasts. Getting back up shouldn't be an issue if you lower your tire's PSI beforehand and drive carefully. The beach itself was soft and not enjoyable to travel on, as the increased fuel consumption with high RPMs wasn't great for the vehicles. Fishing along the beach was good, but there wasn't much else to see except for the occasional passing whale in season. If the Gordon Inlet is passable, you can take a shortcut back to Bremer Bay along the beach, but make sure you can cross the inlet; otherwise, it's about 18 kilometers back to the hill climb up from Point Ann fish hole. Note that some photos labeled as "Point Ann Fish Hole" are actually of Point Ann itself, which can be confusing for out-of-town tourists.
