Legends speak of a place of magic, a beach owned by the seagulls, seen by so many, but visited by oh so few...
Not far from the popular Tsougrias beach where the tourist boats bring hundreds of tourists a day, hidden beyond a single wild mountainous hill, you can find this beautiful secluded beach which holds an incredible view of the Skiathos mainland!!
The truth is that the only people that come to this beach are those that have private boats... but the moment I saw drone footage of this place, I knew I needed to come here. It was almost an obsession.... could I have swimmed clockwise around the island to arrive here? Probably, but I had steeper ambitions....
Long story short: I was crazy enough to hike through the wild side of Tsougria, and it was not a pleasant journey...! DO NOT ATTEMPT to reach this beach through the land, unless you are experienced with Hiking and properly equipped for the journey. The trails are overgrown and very hard to find, and the journey is arduous.
At the end of it all however I succeeded! It is possible to reach Nord Beach through the trees and wild bushes of Tsougria, and for me it was definitely worth it. My wanderlust has been sated. It seems you can always go where no one does, and do what no one has, if you are willing to pay the price.
PS: If I accounted for the difficult journey/lack of accessibility I would give 4 stars to this place. But I won't
Lovely beach and location. Reasonable prices at the bar/restaurant. BUT ruined by the incessant House type music booming across the whole area. The owners of the bar should look at the age groups that are there at this time of year !
