Disastrous Experience at Hyatt Regency Puerto Rico – Bed Bugs and Terrible Customer Service
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Puerto Rico with a group of friends, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. From the moment we arrived, we encountered problems that escalated into a nightmare.
Our rooms were infested with bed bugs, and within a day of settling in, my friends and I started noticing painful, itchy bites all over our bodies. We quickly realized we were dealing with a serious bed bug infestation. The bites were unbearable, leaving us covered in welts and causing significant discomfort for the remainder of our stay.
What made this situation even worse was the horrendous customer service. When we approached the front desk to address the issue, the staff was dismissive, rude, and unhelpful. They didn’t take our concerns seriously, and instead of offering any solutions, they seemed to brush us off. To make matters worse, they were speaking in Spanish, assuming we didn’t understand. Unfortunately for them, we did. Their unprofessional behavior and lack of empathy made the whole ordeal even more frustrating.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, they didn’t offer to move us to another room or provide any kind of compensation. We were left feeling ignored and unsupported. In the end, I had to throw away all my luggage and everything inside it, as I was too afraid of bringing the bed bugs home. The entire experience has been traumatizing, and I’m still dealing with the painful, itchy bites.
I’ve stayed in many hotels, but I’ve never encountered anything like this. The lack of professionalism, the failure to address the bed bug issue, and the overall poor service made this a nightmare stay. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel until they take serious action to address cleanliness and improve their customer service. This experience has left me completely dissatisfied, and I will never return.
