With the help of the third generation of Prodan family members, you will discover behind the scenes of the fascinating truffle world and this precious ingredient as one of the most expensive food in the world . Accompanied by the truffle dogs, first we will go to look for truffles which we will need to cook a delicious truffle meal. After variety of truffle starters, ladies from the family will show you how to make the best traditional scrambled eggs with freshly found truffles. You will be able to see all the ingredients and preparation from start to finish, by finding out little secrets of creating this memorable dish. Every single meal will have truffles, even the salad! You will discover the traditional truffle dishes of Istria prepared with the freshest ingredients, all while learning about truffle history and observing breathtaking views on the old town of Buzet. The idea of half-day tour is to present wines from two different wineries for those who are limited with time. You will have opportunity to try fresh and aged wines made from indigenous grape varieties but also blends with international grape varieties. One winery is young, second one has long tradition but both wineries are among the best in Croatia with international recognition and international awards. During half day program you would have two professional wine tastings with an expert guide from each winery with rich, local snacks, you would visit wine cellars and experience the beauty of Istria. Transportation and guiding are included in price. I include only the best wineries and restaurants in my programs. Wine tastings in wineries are scheduled by special arrangement and you are not obligated to buy wines in wineries, only if you wish to.

What makes my truffle hunting adventure unique? It od a real truffle hunt, not just a demonstration. Guests experience authentic truffle hunting in the forest together with trained dogs. We also keep our groups small — a maximum of 10 people — to ensure a more personal, intimate, and authentic experience. Truffle is an unusual subterranean fungus. There are two important varieties of truffles: white truffle (Tuber Magnatum) and black truffle (Tuber Melanosporum). Both of these can be found in the Motovun forest located in the valley of the Mirna River. Even though truffles can be found elsewhere, Motovun truffles are considered to be of the highest quality.

The House of Istrian Olive Oil located in the center of Pula tells the story of olive growing in Istria through history to the present day. Visiting the museum, you can discover why Istrian olive oil was highly valued by the ancient Romans and how it was produced; what happened to olive oil production during the Middle Ages, how oil was produced by our ancestors and how it is produced today and finally, what are the secrets of creating an extra virgin olive oil of premium quality.
