After a quick but engaging visit to the town of Vernazza, we will start climbing along the fascinating mule track towards the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Reggio (about 1 hour) at an altitude of 330 meters. During the climb, we will admire beautiful views of the Cinque Terre coast with its characteristic terraces supported by kilometers of dry-stone walls, where olives and grapes are cultivated to produce prestigious wines. In front of the shaded Sanctuary Square stands a monumental cypress (the oldest in Liguria!) and a majestic leccio. Before going down, we will visit the fascinating olive grove of Azienda Agricola la Bottega, where Ligure DOP extra virgin olive oil is produced.
