Maputo City: 3 stränder i området

Restaurangen erbjöd undermålig service och skaldjuren var inte färska. Maten hade en ganska genomsnittlig smak. Dock erbjöd stranden en fantastisk utsikt och en fridfull atmosfär.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Dinner was good (sea food). Lovely view, nice beach, comfortable bed. However, the place is quite old. And it is definitely overpriced. I think I would have paid half of what I actually paid (I stayed in a chalet with a sea view). I think they would be more successful in turning this into more of a hostel ‘vibe’, and market it as such. Reduce the prices and keep it as if it. It felt like a place I would go to when I was traveling when I was younger. The staff seem really nice, and I had good interactions with all of them. But they also seemed a little clueless when I asked for something. This was especially the case when I was asking for a taxi and how to do that. They initially just said it’s very difficult, and I asked how much would it be if I took a taxi from here that’s not through bolt (alternative to Uber here). My Uber here was about 500 meticals, plus the toll of the bridge (which was about 125 each way - you pay for was each way as have to cross to this side and taxis don’t come this far). So I gave him 800. However, the taxi back to airport is 2000… you kind of have no option unless you have rented a car. It was a lovely place but I don’t know how much I would recommend… depends on what you want but I think the key problem is the cost - it’s marketed too high.

Den kustnära naturen är verkligen häpnadsväckande och påminner om en stad som är inbäddad mitt i havet. Utsikten är helt enkelt fantastisk och lämnar en i beundran av den naturliga skönheten som omger en. Stranden är oerhört ren och perfekt för avkoppling och förnyelse. Det är en verklig pärla av en destination som inte får missas.

Strandupplevelsen var underbar, även om vattnet var svalkande kallt.
