In the waning days of August, the beach was teeming with visitors, making it quite congested. The beach itself is petite and the prime spots are occupied by sun loungers that can be rented for a steep price of 20€ each. This leaves only the rocky and remote edges of the beach for those who seek solace.
The road is definitely rough in spots, not in the beginning, it’s the last portion, so be sure you’re comfortable navigating the terrain. If not, take a taxi. We ate at the restaurant located to the right when you first walk down the stairs. Salads, grilled chicken w/fries, & a plate with 3 pieces of cod. We were all very happy with our meals and the view was fantastic. I’m confused with some of the comments regarding the food.
The beach had umbrellas & recliner chairs for rent. Yes, some need replacement or some TLC, but they are doing the best they can with what they have. The water is very clean, a few spots to jump, but be careful as the waves start later on in the day. If you’re middle class or well to do, please tip the employees a bit extra. This is their livelihood. Recommend!
