There are so many positive things I can say about this resort! I booked the Roc Plus package through SunWing, and I am definitely planning on coming back. This resort offers great value for money with numerous added benefits. The A la Carte restaurants, both the Italian and International options, are a must-try. The breakfast buffet serves delicious omelets made with fresh ingredients. The pork, chicken, and potatoes are also quite tasty. The view of the ocean from the resort is absolutely stunning and the beach is well-maintained. They even provide free kayaking, pedal boats, and paddle boards at the beach bar. The Pina coladas and Mojitos are made fresh and taste fantastic. Additionally, the resort is conveniently located near Varadero Boulevard, where you can enjoy shopping or dancing.

The staff at the beach were very friendly and the beach itself was absolutely amazing. The food was decent, not top-notch, but it was still very tasty, especially the grilled pork and chicken that were cooked right in front of you. They also had great shows every day and the Piña Colada was absolutely fantastic, along with the other nice drinks they served. The rooms were good and the shower was nice, although the only downside was that you couldn't adjust the room temperature as the air conditioner was set to 22°C by default, but it worked well. The infrastructure was nice, with hammocks to sleep in and beds outside. The pool was great and the beach was just a one-minute walk away. The water at the beach was amazing and they had comfortable chairs available in shaded areas. The WiFi was decent and the coffee bar served a really good cappuccino. The only downside was that if you wanted to visit Varadero city, which is a nice place to walk around, you had to take a free bus transfer as it was a bit far.

The highlight of this location was the beautiful beach view; however, we encountered difficulty in opening the balcony door. I recommend either staying at Casas or exploring other resorts.

The buffet staff lacks professionalism, there is an abundance of flies, long waiting times for service, a shortage of spoons, and upon entering, they do not seat you at the tables. The only positive aspects are the room cleaning service, animation, and recreation team. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Be cautious when using a taxi recommended by these individuals. The friendly and helpful-looking doormen are in cahoots with the taxi driver, who significantly overcharges, sometimes three to five times the normal fare. Exhausted, sweaty, and dehydrated, I ended up losing a substantial amount of money. Be on the lookout for Alejandro (license plate P199651), driving one of the worn-out light blue American vintage cars with white trim. The front desk staff is not particularly helpful as they claim to have little knowledge about anything, which resulted in their refusal to provide me with an estimated fare. Essentially, this leaves you vulnerable to scammers like these. Their lack of assistance is not only unhelpful but also potentially worse.
