The first time that Easy Company part of the 101st. Airborne division reached the hills of Obersalzberg most of the buildings in that area where destroyed. If you visit this area today you will see that a lot has changed, the forest has taken over and a big parking place leads people straight up the mountain. This tour is here to provide you with far reaching insight of the historical locations hidden in the forest, see the ruins of Hitler's house and other WWII sights that will bring history to life. Then hike up from there to the Eagle's Nest and you will following the steps of the first American soldiers that got there by foot in May 1945. Even though the Eagle's Nest is one of the most visited places in Germany our tour will take us thru a more richer and less traveled path. The tour is a mix world history, exercise and incredible landscapes. I take pride in offering the best possible experience to deliver professional and safe guidance in the mountains with a relaxed atmosphere.
Much more than just a sightseeing tour! This historical guided tour (in English) combines stunning Alpine scenery with fascinating WWII history. Beginning with an explanation of the history of Obersalzberg; you'll learn why the mountainside was so decisive, and how and why it became so important to Hitler. You'll then travel in one of the mountain buses up to the Eagle's Nest and be shown around the historic building paying particular attention to the many original features that still remain, including the famous brass elevator. The tour will include ample opportunities to take photos and ask any questions you may have. The tour also includes ca. 1 hour of free time to yourselves once the guide has finished with all of the historical information. However this is flexible and can be extended (at no additional cost) if you'd like to spend longer up at the Eagle's Nest. Simply speak to your guide on the day of tour and they will be able to make the necessary amendment to your ticket.
In this tour you will explore the most interesting World War II monuments of the Reich Party city "Nuremberg" with a small group In the VIP minibus, you will travel from the gigantic buildings of Hitler and Speer, to museums and the Nuremberg Trials Room in the Palace of Justice. Nuremberg was the venue for the legendary NSDAP Party Congresses and thus the heart of Adolf Hitler and his ideology. Together with his architect Albert Speer, he realized some of the most monumental buildings of the Nazi era on the Nuremberg Reich Party Congress grounds. From Luitpoldhain Stadium at the Hall of Honour, to the gigantic Congress Hall, the Fuhrer's Great Street to the huge stone grandstands at the Zeppelin Field, you will visit perhaps the largest remaining buildings of that time. After the total destruction of Nuremberg, the famous Nuremberg Trials took place in the Palace of Justice, in which the most important party members and warmongers of the 2nd World War took place. World War I were convicted in an international court.
