Nice beach within walking distance of the town centre. Unfortunately some litter on the beach, but not enough to totally spoil it. The fort ruins on the small hill behind the beach is worth a visit.

我们从船港走到这里。绝对感受到了当地社区的氛围。对我来说有点太远了，因为我穿着高跟鞋，没想到要走这么长的路。回程时我要打辆出租车哈哈。宁静。没有小贩骚扰，太好了！宁静。没有很多游客，但也不至于一个人独处。

A we walked from the ship port to here. Definitely have a feel of local community. A bit too long for me as I was in a wedge and didn’t expect such a long walk. I’m doing a taxi on the way back lol. Quiet. No vendors to harass, yay! Quiet. Not a lot of visitors but enough to not be alone.

I enjoyed Fort James Beach. All the beaches in Antigua are beautiful really, but if you enjoy slightly stronger waves, this the beach for you. It was pretty quiet when we went as well so was like being on a private beach ☺️

A private feeling local beach about an hour’s walk from port. Lots of trash and overgrown with vines and bushes in places but in the right spots it feels like you’re all alone on a gorgeous beach. The walk takes you through some rougher areas although we never felt unsafe at all.
