The workshop takes place in San Martín Tilcajete, a town known for its master artisans and high-quality Alebrijes. You will learn about the carving and painting process directly from a local artisan, and then paint your own wooden figure using the provided materials. No experience is required. The experience is operated in small groups to ensure clear guidance and a relaxed environment. This is a great, no-pressure visit with enough time to paint, ask questions, and enjoy the workshop. Our experience is an educational tour to learn about the culture of mezcal and all the tradition that surrounds it. We will begin our trip starting from the center of the city of Oaxaca and we will visit the towns of Mitla and Matatlán.
