A visit to Playa El Tejón, a delightful beach just a short 7-minute drive from here, was an absolute treat. We were greeted by a charming gentleman named Pablo, who had previously worked on a cruise ship and at Secrets. He arrived in full uniform, complete with a badge and hat, and offered us a selection of freshly caught red snapper and shrimp. We decided to order both, which was enough to feed our group of six. Pablo expertly prepared and cooked the seafood, and then presented us with a generous platter, accompanied by a delectable mix of rice, pineapple, garlic, tomatoes, and cucumbers. To our delight, he also provided us with plates and metal cutlery to enjoy our meal. The cost was a mere 500 pesos, or approximately $32.00, and there was no electricity in sight! Although the path down to the beach was steep, the young lady selling ice cream at the top made the journey worthwhile. She was kind enough to call us a taxi, and we made sure to tip her for her assistance.
