What a lovely mid winter visit. Only a few families were using the beach and many were swimming in the clear water. Such a nice, restful, place.

It’s a beautiful like most beaches in the north island BUT if it a rainy or cloudy day I would definitely not recommend the 11km narrow roads to get there

I've pulled in here twice - once in January and once in July - both stunning days. Stopped for a picnic lunch - perfect for it. Not too busy. Looks like a great surf beach with the right swell. Recommend a visit 👍
