One of my dog's favorite haunts. Off leash area and usually other well behaved dog's to meet and greet. Well maintained, flat grassy areas to monitor the dogs while they play and a sandy beach with plenty of sticks. Doggy doo bags are supplied, although some dog owners don't seem able to grasp how to use them, resulting in dogs being less welcome in public places. Great park also for a walk, rest, or picnic if you haven't got a dog. Clean under cover BBQs available and sea birds galore to admire on the shoreline.

Amazing place. 2 minutes drive from Thames town center. There are enough parking spaces inside the reserve. BBQ place was excellent. Few big trees around so it's an ideal place for a weekend picnic with small kids. Clean toilets are just around the corner. Not the best beach around, but ample space for kids to run around.
