A large play ground for the kids is the centre of this park. Very safe beach for swimming, walking the dog or children playing. Large grassed area for picnics with a skate board bowl central. Surf club a couple of kilometres away. During summer, there invariably is a coffee and an icecream trailer there.

Nice and peaceful , room for around 4motorhomes . Lovely clean toilets , tidy recycling bins, play ground for the kids , dump station and fresh water 50 mtrs away. Right on the beach front and if its full when you get there just 6.7km is another freedom park .

Awesome reserve on Ohope Beach. This area is one of the largest in the area stretching from the road to the beach. Pohutukawa trees abound so there's plenty of shade and there is a large open area for casual sports games and a big playground with the usual equipment as well as a wooden ship and flying fox. There's also some outdoor exercise machines as well as barbecues (coin operated), a water fountain, public toilets and ample parking.
